The first taste of music from Spike Lee’s new A24 and Apple Original Films film HIGHEST 2 LOWEST comes in the form of powerhouse vocalist, songwriter, and producer Aiyana-Lee’s stunning song of the same name, out now. The soundtrack, curated by Lee and including new songs from A$AP Rocky and Jensen McRae, champions black artists across genres as the film follows Denzel Washington’s music business mogul character rediscovering his love for exactly these kinds of artists.
Aiyana-Lee, who also appears in the film, reflected on the song saying, “‘Highest to Lowest’ is a soulful, triumphant journey. One rooted in vulnerability and hope. It’s a song and story close to my heart that proves even in the darkest moments, light always finds its way through.”
Spike Lee on curating the soundtrack: “I First Saw And Heard Aiyanna, Jensen And The Fergus McCreadie Trio On INSTAGRAM. My EYES And EARS Don’t LIE. It’s Da TRUTH,RUTH. Ya-Dig? SHO-NUFF”
Alongside new tracks from A$AP Rocky, Jensen McRae, and Aiyana-Lee, the soundtrack includes a rich score balanced throughout. Out alongside the film’s theatrical release on August 15th, the record was executive produced by Spike Lee and sees original composition by Howard Drossin.

ABOUT THE FILM
When a titan music mogul (Denzel Washington), widely known as having the “best ears in the business”, is targeted with a ransom plot, he is jammed up in a life-or-death moral dilemma. Brothers Denzel Washington and Spike Lee reunite for the 5th in their long working relationship for a reinterpretation of the great filmmaker Akira Kurosawa’s crime thriller High and Low, now played out on the mean streets of modern day New York City.
ABOUT AIYANA-LEE
Aiyana-Lee is a British-American singer, songwriter, producer, and actress whose unmistakable, soul-drenched voice has captured hearts around the world. Blending poetic lyricism with raw emotional power, her music acts as a sonic diary — fearless, deeply personal, and unafraid to challenge the status quo. Raised between London and Los Angeles, she brings a transatlantic energy that fuses grit with grace, earning comparisons to icons like Amy Winehouse and Adele while carving out a sound entirely her own.
Having already amassed millions of streams and earned praise from legends like Elton John and Spike Lee, Aiyana-Lee is entering a bold new era. In 2025, she made her acting debut in Spike Lee’s Highest 2 Lowest, which premiered at Cannes, and toured California arenas with Lil Wayne. Her recent self-produced single, “City of Lies,” is her most powerful statement yet — an unflinching anthem of truth and resilience that reclaims her voice on her own terms. She looks forward to releasing new music soon, starting a bold, unapologetic new era with her next single titled “Harder I Try.”
