Passion Flower Makes Local Debut at Austin's Birthday Bash: Saturday, August 7th

Upcoming Appearances Include Austin Pride Parade, Formula 1 Shows with Billy Joel & Twenty One Pilots

This Saturday, August 7th, Passion Flower will make its first public appearance in its new home of Austin, TX. From 5pm-10pm CDT in Republic Square, the AI-powered art car and mobile DJ platform will deliver a brand new, multi-sensory musical experience to attendees of Austin's Birthday Bash. Hailed as "a beacon for good times" (CultureMap), the fully electric vehicle previously debuted at Burning Man in 2019, but arrived in Austin earlier this summer, where creator Edward Balassanian worked with a local team of visionaries to reimagine its capabilities. Marrying a multitude of kinetic, visual and auditory elements, Passion Flower is equipped with 360-degree sound, interactive lighting, and visceral forms of artificial intelligence that are "rapidly redefining what it means to get lost in the music" (EDM.com).  

In between its own sets of music, Passion Flower will serve as a stunning stage for the lineup of performers at Austin's Birthday Bash, including Grammy-nominated headliner and former Austinite of the Year, SaulPaul. RSVP and learn more about the event HERE. 

Throughout the summer and fall, Passion Flower will continue to bloom all around Austin. On August 14th, locals can see it on display as an official float in the city's Pride Parade, and from October 22-24 it will provide the opening performance for Billy Joel and Twenty One Pilots at Circuit of the Americas' Formula 1 events.

Wrapped in blooming layers of dichroic film, Passion Flower reflects the beauty of Austin during the day — but once dusk settles in the car comes to life as colorful LEDs match the ever-changing motion of the crowd and the vibrant energy of the music. Both the lighting and sound of Passion Flower are generated in real time by the artist-crafted and AI-powered music platform, Aimi, which produces endless, immersive experiences of electronic music that never repeat and constantly evolve.
