Pepsi's "Rock The South" Draws More Than 40,000 Fans From 40 States
2015 Event Increases Attendance 10%, Local Donations Total More Than $190,000Alan Jackson, Brantley Gilbert and Sara Evans are a few of the traditional Country and Southern Rock artists who graced Pepsi's "Rock The South" stage this past weekend, June 19-20, in Cullman, AL, attracting over 40,000 fans from 40 states, making this year's festival the largest yet.
"As a Cullman native, it's exciting to see the spirit of this city -- and beyond -- come together for such a great celebration of giving back," adds Shane Quick, Owner of Premier Productions and co-owner of the festival. "We work hard to deliver a better festival every year, all while keeping it very affordable for the fans because they are who are important to us and keep us going."
In addition to the 10% increase in attendance, the festival donated $30,000 total to local charities "The Link of Cullman County" and "No White Flags for Cancer" benefitting Children's Hospital of Alabama, bringing the four-year charitable contribution total to over $190,000.
"Because of the support from the City of Cullman, country music fans, and our amazing sponsors, Pepsi's "Rock the South" 2015 was the most successful to date," says co-founder and former University of Alabama quarterback Jay Barker. "We are already working to improve the experience and overall festival for 2016."
Plans for 2016's "Rock The South" are already underway, and dates will be announced in the coming weeks.
