The second annual Montreux Jazz Festival Miami unfolded over a spectacular sold-out weekend at The Hangar at Regatta Harbour in Miami’s Coconut Grove neighborhood, delivering a series of unforgettable musical moments.

Friday Night: The festival kicked off with a vibrant performance by Jon Batiste & Friends, featuring a 20-piece band. The evening was highlighted by surprise appearances from JoJo, Lauren Daigle, Maxwell, and Matteo Bocelli. Trumpeter Ibrahim Maalouf and opening act Justin-Lee Schultz also graced the stage, adding to the dynamic atmosphere. The highlight of the evening was Batiste's "Love Riot," a parade with his band through the audience, creating an intimate experience for festival-goers. WILLOW delivered a levitating performance earlier in the night. The evening culminated in a late-night jam session that saw Batiste and over 30 musicians, including Shania Twain and Lauren Jauregui, deliver an improvised performance that lasted nearly two hours.

Saturday Night: The energy continued into Saturday, with Chaka Khan and Janelle Monáe taking the headlines, captivating the audience with their powerful vocals. British artist and Eras tour opener Griff kicked off the night (with Batiste on piano), paving the way for a night of soulful and dynamic performances. Khan and her band brought classics like “Ain’t Nobody” and “I’m Every Woman” to new heights, while Monáe and her band dazzled with an electrifying, extensive set.  The evening again concluded with a legendary jam session led by Jon Batiste, where musicians from the night's lineup and beyond (including Twain and Jauregui) joined together for another spontaneous and vibrant musical collaboration.

Sunday Night: The festival concluded on Sunday with the much-anticipated Afro-Cuban “La Descarga” jam, co-hosted by Jon Batiste and Cimafunk, with Cimafunk’s band. Over 2 hours of music with nearly 30 musicians on stage at one point, highlights included a duet between Cuban legends Chucho Valdés and Paquito D’Rivera, dueling pianos with Gonzalo Rubalcaba and Batiste, plus Pedrito Martinez, Ibrahim Maalouf, Alfredo Rodriguez, Aymee Nuviola, Emily Estefan, Hamilton de Holanda, Sammy Figueroa, Yilian Cañizares, Yissy Garcia, Brenda Navarrete, Robe L Ninho, Victor Campbell, Yusa and Wampi…taking on a set list that included everything from “House Party” (Fred Wesley) to Fania All Stars’ “El Raton” to festival closer “Don’t You Worry ‘Bout A Thing.”  The day started with engaging sets from Monsieur Periné and Alfredo Rodriguez, which perfectly set the stage for the evening's performances.
