Today, for the first time in his six-time GRAMMY®-winning career, PJ Morton has released a collection of music that captures the full breadth of his artistry, identity and inspirations: Saturday Night, Sunday Morning. Out now via Morton Records / SRG-ILS Group, the double album features one half of R&B (Saturday Night) and one half of Gospel (Sunday Morning), each presenting nine new songs that combine into a seamless coexistence of sound and culture.

Listen to Saturday Night, Sunday Morning Here

Written and produced by PJ Morton, and recorded at his own historic Studio in The Country in rural Bogalusa, Louisiana, Saturday Night, Sunday Morning channels a life of choice – between church and club, worship and love, independence and interconnectedness – into a body of work that defies barriers and builds bridges. As the most authentic expression of PJ Morton to date, Saturday Night, Sunday Morning is also his most unprecedented.

Whether fans know him from the projects that have earned GRAMMY® Awards for Best R&B Song, Best Traditional R&B Performance and Best Gospel Album, or from his collaborations with Stevie Wonder, Erykah Badu, Nas, Lil Wayne, JoJo, Jill Scott, Jazmine Sullivan, Kirk Franklin, Made Kuti, Tasha Cobbs Leonard, Darrel Walls and his decades-long role in Maroon 5; from his memoir and his original compositions for Netflix, Disney World and Disneyland, or as a preacher's kid embedded into the musical and faithful fabric of New Orleans, no one has heard him as completely as this.

"He's been one of the most accomplished singer-songwriters in R&B and gospel both, for quite a while now," says Okayplayer. "But now we get both sides of PJ Morton's acclaimed career on one project. He melds the secular with the sacred on this highly anticipated release."

Currently nominated for the Dr. Bobby Jones Best Gospel/Inspirational Award at the 2026 BET Awards, as well as Producer of The Year and Song of The Year at the 2026 Stellar Gospel Music Awards, PJ Morton traveled the country in the weeks leading up to Saturday Night, Sunday Morning, giving listeners an early chance to experience the record on physical formats at a series of national pop-up events. The celebrations culminated last night at The National Museum of African American Music (NMAAM), who recently named PJ Morton as its Grand Marshal of Black Music Month 2026. In tandem with the album release, NMAAM has officially opened its career-spanning Saturday Night, Sunday Morning exhibition, a world-premiere tribute to PJ Morton including exclusive artifacts, instruments, awards and more that will remain on display through September 30th.

Beginning next month, PJ Morton and his band will embark on The Saturday Night, Sunday Morning World Tour, spanning more than 40 headline shows across North America, South America, the UK and Europe this summer and fall. Dates include Detroit's Aretha Franklin Amphitheatre, New York City's Town Hall, Rio de Janeiro's Rock in Rio, Los Angeles' United Theater and dozens of stops in between, with tickets and more information available at pjmorton.com.
