Plowboy Records Signs Psychobilly Pioneer J.D. Wilkes + Dirt Daubers, New LP

Nashville's Plowboy Records has announced their latest signing, J.D. Wilkes and The Dirt Daubers - who will release 'Wild Moon,' their third album, produced by Cheetah Chrome, this fall. The Dirt Daubers are based in Paducah, KY, formed by Legendary Shack Shakers front man and country punk pioneer J.D Wilkes in 2009 with his wife Jessica. Created initially as an old-timey acoustic outlet for the high-octane Wilkes (who is also a director and visual artist), The Dirt Daubers have plugged in for this new record of swampy blues and gritty rock-n-roll, adding an electric guitarist and drummer. More details on their album coming soon, and the band will tour this fall.

Plowboy Records is helmed by punk legend Cheetah Chrome, professor, author and country music expert Don Cusic and Eddy Arnold's grandson, Shannon Pollard. It was launched to celebrate the legacy of Eddy Arnold and provide a home for projects that focus on American music regardless of genre.

Plowboy's first two releases include 'Darker Than Light' by Bobby Bare, who will be inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame later this year, and 'You Don't Know Me: Rediscovering Eddy Arnold' a tribute album to honor one of the most influential country musicians of all time.
