(New York, NY): Indie pop four-piece band PREP will set out across the United States for a headlining tour in February 2020. Kicking off in Philadelphia at Milkboy and culminating at San Francisco's Brick & Mortar, the winter 2020 tour sees the funk-inspired band playing notable venues like Brooklyn's Rough Trade and Los Angeles' Echo. Following PREP's 2018 EP Line by Line and "Don’t Look Back", a collaboration with Monsta X singer Shownu & So!YoON! of Korean indie band Se So Neon, the London group plans to release new music next year.

Line By Line presents an enviable roll-call of guests joining PREP’s singer Tom Havelock (who has previously written for Riton & Ray BLK), keyboard player Llywelyn Ap Myrddin (a classical & opera composer), drummer GIOM (who’s headlined Fabric & toured with George Fitzgerald) and producer Dan Radclyffe (noted for his work on recordings by the likes of Drake and AlunaGeorge). The EP’s sleek opening line is assisted by the guitar sounds not only of living legend Paul Jackson Jr—aka the man behind the riff powering Michael Jackson’s “Beat It”—but also next-generation funk idol Cory Wong of Vulfpeck. The release also saw the group playing their first U.S. tour dates, where they sold-out shows in Chicago, New York City and Los Angeles. Line by Line was the follow up to summer 2018's Cold Fire EP that brought the London four-piece into sharper focus, amidst a string of collaborations with the likes of Korean R&B megastar DEAN and Anderson. Paak collaborator Pomo. Havelock is also fresh off co-writing half of the new Anna of The North album via 300 Entertainment.
PREP fuse elements of R&B, funk, and jazz into a melting pot of blissfully-styled pop. Emerging in 2016 with head-turning debut EP Futures—which generated over 7 million streams—PREPbecame one of the most blogged-about acts of the year whilst keeping a veil drawn over their actual identities, disclosing little more than their being the improbable alliance of a hip hop producer, a classically trained composer, a house DJ and a songwriter-for-hire. With widespread critical support and radio love from BBC Radio 1, 1Xtra, KCRW, and Beats1, the band is turning heads and bringing listeners to "a much-needed funk-fueled trip to a sun-filled beach,” according to The Line of Best Fit.
