Promark By D'Addario's Revolutionary Activegrip™ Heat-Activated Coating To Be Available On A Wide Variety Of Models June 1

Promark by D'Addario is pleased to announce that their patent-pending technology ActiveGrip(TM), a heat-activated drumstick coating, will officially launch June 1st, 2016 on a wide variety of models. The revolutionary coating made its debut during summer of 2015 on the Glenn Kotche Active Wave 570 - a collaboration between Wilco drummer Glenn Kotche and the American drumstick maker. The ActiveGrip technology will be available on eight stick models in addition to the Kotche ActiveWave 570.

The technology behind the heat-activated coating makes the stick tackier as the player's hands heat up and sweat - offering an unprecedented smooth, natural feel instead of the typical rubbery texture many drummers find uncomfortable.

"The 420X's also feature Pro Mark's new 'Active Grip' finish which are great for a more secure grip and feel...and are also finished in a super cool black finish which I've always wanted and am now able to finally have," says prolific drummer Mike Portnoy.

"Sticks flying out of my hands during a gig or a session is totally unacceptable," says Rich Redmond of Jason Aldean's band. "With ActiveGrip there's no more wrapping, and stick control is a non-issue. I can just play from the heart...worry free."

The light coating adds virtually no weight or diameter to the stick. It offers drummers exceptional grip without sacrificing feel. See below for a list of models ActiveGrip will be available on the following stick models:
