PRS Elects Downtown's Roberto Neri and Imogen Heap to Board
Downtown Music Publishing congratulates Roberto Neri, Managing Director of Downtown Music UK, and their client Imogen Heap on their elections to the PRS Board of Directors.
Neri joined Downtown Music in 2015 to oversee Downtown's UK office as part of their acquisition of Eagle-i Music. Neri founded Eagle-i Music in 2011 after eight years at Bug Music, where he served as VP of International. Neri began his career in 1999 at PRS, coming full circle with his new Board seat.
"Having started my music industry career working at PRS, it is a real honour to now become a Board Director," Neri says. "I look forward to helping the team shape the future of the organisation and provide the best value to all Songwriters and Publishers."
Downtown signed Heap in 2015 to a non-exclusive worldwide deal covering Heap's portion of Taylor Swift's 1989 finale "Clean," plus five songs from Heap's 2014 album, Sparks: "The Beast," "Entanglement," "Climb to Sakteng," "Run-Time" and "Cycle Song."
"I'm very happy to have been chosen a writer director," Heap told Music Week. "I've been a PRS member for over 20 years and they are a flagship organisation that is here to set the standards for the rest of the world in terms of collections. I'm very much looking forward to being part of the team and bringing some fresh ideas and having lots of discourse and discussions."
