Q2 Music's 'Meet The Composer' Host Nadia Sirota Interviews Songwriting Legend Paul Simon
Nadia Sirota Playing The National's Guilty Party Event in Hudson, NY July 14 + 15Today on the season finale of Q2 Music's Peabody Award-winning 'Meet The Composer' podcast, host Nadia Sirota sits down with songwriting legend Paul Simon. This episode follows a season that saw 'Meet The Composer' host discussions with Henry Threadgill, John Adams and Pauline Oliveros, as well as debuting works by Bryce Dessner and Kaitlyn Aurelia Smith.
The interview was taped at the Q2 Music studios earlier this year, but also features music and conversation from the Eaux Claires Festival, where Nadia played alongside Paul Simon as part of her ensemble yMusic.

Nadia Sirota is an acclaimed, Juilliard-educated violist who's performed solo works by the likes of Nico Muhly, Bryce Dessner, and Donnacha Dennehy, and who's performed with groups such as Grizzly Bear, Dirty Projectors, Jonsi, and Arcade Fire. She is a member of yMusic, and her solo work has received acclaim from the New York Times, the Wall Street Journal and more.

Alongside hosting the new season of 'Meet The Composer,' Nadia has had a busy summer. She performs on 'Planetarium,' the new collaboration between Sufjan Stevens, Bryce Dessner, Nico Muhly, and James McAlister, and she is prepping a new solo album entitled 'Tessellatum' (out August 11th on Bedroom Community) which features composition from Donnacha Dennehy and an accompanying animated film from Steven Mertens (Dan Auerbach, Nickel Creek, Regina Spektor).
