Qobuz, the independently-owned high-quality music streaming and download platform, is once again partnering with the Newport Festival Foundation to sponsor the Newport Folk and Newport Jazz Festivals. Building on last year's aftershow partnership, Qobuz will serve as an official festival sponsor across both weekends, with a presence throughout the festival experience, including the official festival app and on-site signage, in addition to presenting two late-night aftershows.
At Newport Folk, Qobuz will serve as the official presenting partner for Australian singer-songwriter Courtney Barnett and Tiny Gun’s sold-out late-night aftershow taking place on Friday, July 24th in downtown Newport at the Newport Blues Café. All proceeds will benefit the Newport Festivals Foundation.
At Newport Jazz, Qobuz will also present an aftershow at the Newport Blues Café on Friday, July 31st, featuring a performance by the acclaimed Richmond, Virginia-based jazz, funk, and hip-hop collective Butcher Brown & Friends.
Qobuz sets itself apart by delivering best-in-class music experiences for its community of listeners, including exclusive compilations and releases, expert-curated playlists, editorial content, live events, and partnerships. This summer marks Qobuz’s second year partnering with the Newport Festivals Foundation, which is just one of the many music-first partnerships Qobuz has forged in recent years, including collaborations with yasiin bey, Lucinda Williams, The Great Escape Festival in Brighton, UK, Audio Expo North America (AXPONA), Festival Bach Montréal, Rough Trade Records, Drag City Records, the Chicago-based independent label International Anthem, and more.
