“Queen of Clean Comedy” Takes ‘Girl Talk’ Tour to 30+Cities

Chonda Pierce brings her unpretentious Southern charm to theaters, arenas and churches this Spring with a 30-city tour supporting her latest ‘Girl Talk’ DVD.

The RIAA’s best selling female comedian and “charismatic storyteller” (Hollywood Reporter) kicks off her tour on Feb. 28 in Tulsa, Oklahoma in partnership with Compassion International, a child sponsorship organization Pierce has supported for several years.

‘Girl Talk’ is Chonda’s 11th DVD (her third taped at the historic Ryman Auditorium) was shot live before a standing-room-only crowd on June 22, 2013 and released December 17 of the same year.

Time Magazine says, “‘Girl Talk’, true to form, is not just about the things girls talk about (Spanx, going to the bathroom in large groups) but the things that she and her mother, who died recently, talked about.”

“I come straight from the world of wooden pews and hell-fire preaching. Some of it probably did a little damage – that’s where I get my warped sense of humor - but most of those days gave me solid roots,” she says. “You learn a lot from your past – what to weed through and throw out and what to hold onto forever.”

“This ‘Queen of Clean’ draws crowds without using profanity, relying instead on stories to deliver her punch lines,” (Country Weekly), and her fans love it.

It’s these stories that have made Chonda a media favorite with guest spots on The View, The Wanda Sykes Show and The Better Show, as well as coverage in Time Magazine, Billboard, The Hollywood Reporter and Country Weekly.
