Today, the Red Hot organization honors Juneteenth with a triumphant new take on Ultra Naté's liberating house music hit and unofficial post-lockdown anthem, "Free (Live Your Life)," exclusively reimagined by Felix Da Housecat and Chris Trucher. Alongside the single - which features a freshly recorded, powerhouse vocal performance from Ultra Naté - the HIV/AIDS-fighting non-profit group has also re-released Vagabon's "Water Me Down" (Pamcy Remix), a blissful house interpretation of a song about "confidence, triumph and foresight" from popular Manila-based producer Pamcy. Both tracks appear on Red Hot + Free, the charitable and cathartic compilation of dance music out July 2nd.

From executive Red Hot + Free producer Bill Coleman to artists like Billy Porter, Cakes da Killa, Vagabon, Tituss Burgess and The Illustrious Blacks, to a dazzling collection of "diva-house rave-ups, glittering electropop, and a new remix of 'I Will Survive'" (Entertainment Weekly), the album is not only meant to liberate bodies and minds from this past year's lockdown, but to celebrate both the LGBTQ community and the Black queer movements that continue to influence contemporary culture. While it's been more than two decades since songs like "Free (Live Your Life)" originally stormed the club and became one of the "all-time biggest vocal house anthems" (Mixmag), Bill Coleman says, "All of those hopes for a better world still remain. Dance, move and shake it as much as you can, while you still can. It's cliche to profess, but yep, tomorrow's still not promised."
Ultra Naté adds, "I am immensely proud to be a voice in the ongoing movement to defeat HIV/AIDS. This Red Hot + Free project represents the love and dedication we all have to this initiative as creatives. In this very difficult moment, with a global pandemic adding to the struggle that many face, it is vitally important to shine a bright light of hope on this and other humanitarian issues."

Produced by Black Guy White Guy and 808 BEACH - a writing and production collaboration between UK soul royalty Kwame Kwaten (D-Influence, Laura Mvula) and Gil Cang (Michael Jackson) with Bill Coleman (Deee-Lite, Lenny Kravitz, Party Girl) and John "J-C" Carr (Sia, Zayn) - "U Try Livin' (Pressure)" is a gospel-house testimony on the dancefloor's power to defy political, racial and ideological divide, inspiring listeners to abandon their burdens for a moment of sweet, stomping relief.
Proceeds from Red Hot + Free benefit Ally Coalition, Trevor Project and SAGE, three groups dedicated to LGBTQ equality, suicide prevention in LGBTQ youth, and the elderly LGBTQ generation affected by HIV/AIDS and more. In addition to tracks from Ultra Naté, Vagabon and Black Guy White Guy x 808 BEACH, Red Hot has previewed Red Hot + Freewith the release of Allie X's "Super Duper Party People" (Alan Braxe Extended Mix), CRICKETS' "Elastic" (808 BEACH Dangerous Power Mix) and a dream collaboration from SOFI TUKKER and Amadou & Mariam.
Listen to SOFI TUKKER x Amadou & Mariam's "Mon Cheri," which the New York Times recently named one of the most notable songs of the week, and Billboard called "a true sonic melting pot...fusing African percussion, Brazilian rhythms and good old Florida synth into a sophisticated, joyfully energized vibe."
