Reuben And The Dark Confirm Debut Album 'Funeral Sky' Out 5/27 Via Arts & Crafts

Reuben And The Dark have confirmed the May 27 release of their debut album, 'Funeral Sky,' via indie powerhouse label Arts & Crafts (Broken Social Scene, Feist). The band, which earned early praise from EW and has been hailed as one of 10 To Watch in 2014 by the CBC, made their NYC debut this fall at CMJ on a sold-out Bowery Ballroom bill. The Wall Street Journal picked them as one of 12 To See at the festival, and today, they're exclusively premiering the video for lead single "Rolling Stone." See below for North American tour dates, and check out the video here.

'Funeral Sky' showcases RATD's gorgeous harmonies and penchant for soaring anthems of transcendence.  Produced by Florence + The Machine drummer Chris Hayden and Stephen Kozmeniuk (Madonna, Nicki Minaj) and mixed by Jim Abbiss (Adele, Arctic Monkeys), the album's 11 tracks draw heavily from frontman Reuben Bullock's childhood as the son of a traveling preacher, a life he and his brother/drummer Distance rebelled against, spurning the spiritual world for a wilder one that he now considers himself lucky to have survived. Those trials fueled notebooks full of poems and lyrics that spawned a beautiful, dark, chilling set of atmospheric indie rock and folk that's as personal as it gets.

See below for full US tour dates, and stay tuned for announcements on the album.
