Fresh off the heels of performing at Coachella with Shallou for their hit "Lie," her new song draws from the vibey dream-pop catalog she is best known for while exploring solidarity in the face of adversity. Riah will join Shallou at The Shrine in Los Angeles on May 31st and will open for LANY in Anaheim at the House of Blues on June 25th and at the Shrine in Los Angeles on June 28th.

Praised by the New York Times for her "crisp songwriting...judicious word choice and emotional delivery" for her singles "Wildlife," "Nightmare," and 2018's "Prom," Riah quickly found tastemakers taking notice.

To record her solo EP, Riah traveled to Norman, OK to work with producer/engineer/composer Chad Copelin (Sufjan Stevens, Ben Rector). 'Heartbreak Magic' is as honest as it is adventurous, mixing raw vulnerability with effortless swagger and bold, unpredictable arrangements. In the end, that’s what it’s all about for Riah, chasing those singular moments when the artist and the audience are at once transported to another world, a world that blurs the lines between joy and sadness and ecstasy and heartbreak and fantasy and reality. Riah’s living in a dream, and she wants to take you there with her.

Riah has headlined a School Night performance, played a sold-out show at the Peppermint Club in Los Angeles, and opened for Coin at Henry Fonda Theatre. The "dream pop crooner" (Ones To Watch) has spent time cultivating her sound, becoming a powerful live performer and has racked up nearly 50 millions streams on Spotify.

More on Riah:

Influenced by her "queen" Bjork, Riah grew up playing her father's instruments and was encouraged to explore creative expression by her family. Despite other avenues, she found that it "always came back to loving to write songs and loving to sing."

Praised by The Line of Best Fit as landing "somewhere between the Tove Lo, Broods, and Phoebe Ryan realm of atmospheric alternative pop," Riah is a force to be reckoned with, the kind of mesmerizing vocalist whose sheer magnetism is matched only by her remarkable versatility. She writes with piercing clarity and commands the stage as if she were born for the spotlight.
