Rob Baird’s After All due Jan. 11, 2019

Rob Baird's 'After All' due Jan. 11, 2019

Available tomorrow (10.26), “I Tried” is one of 10 tracks chronicling the stages of grief —soundcloud.com/robbairdmusic/07-i-tried-cd-ref-05-01-2018

Follows Baird's ‘Wrong Side Of The River’ (2016), which earned praise by NPR Music, USA Today, SPIN, Rolling Stone Country, American Songwriter, Texas Monthly and more

Memphis-bred Rob Baird's ‘After All,’ due Jan. 11, 2019, is what happens when you go looking for yourself in someone else.

Recorded straight to tape at Battle Tapes studio in East Nashville under the direction of Jeremy Ferguson (Cage The Elephant, Andrew Combs, Lucie Silvas), 'After All' applies new processes to familiar relationships and combines Austin-bred songwriting with Nashville-fueled collaboration, including a duet with Lucie Silvas on album track "Burning Blue."

Drawing on a range of inspiration from Lucinda Williams’ tender melodies to the raw chords of James McMurtry, ‘After All’ chronicles the seven stages of grief concerning a breakup. From being desperate for answers and being in denial to relapsing, anger and an ultimate redirection in hope, the 10 tracks expose the depth of gray that lies between the black and white lines of love.

Billboard premiered the album's first track “I Tried” earlier today (10.25). The song will be available everywhere tomorrow (10.26) and can be heard here:
