Rock & Roll Futurists UNI and the Urchins reveal "Simulator"

Born of a Taco Bell-fueled AI writing session between frontman Jack James and bassist Charlotte Kemp Muhl, "Simulator" is your ticket to a not-too-far-off planet of warped humanoid pleasures.

Reflecting our current evolution from humans to flesh-dressed avatars - how many people did you interact with today? now, how many of those "people" were actual people, vs faces in Zoom squares? - "Simulator" brings viewers and listeners one step closer to the dark psychic tension of a future where we may all be forced to make one final decision: WiFi-supported immortality, or digital death?

The Kemp-directed visuals immerse you in that world. Mixing religious and Victorian iconography with 2042's hottest designer trends (third eyes, Nile crocodile tails, praying mantis claws), it was made with the help of the DALL-E neural network to mirror the artificially-enhanced creative process of the songwriting.

"Simulator" is the title track from UNI and the Urchins' upcoming debut album, which will be released January 13th, 2023, on Chimera Music. Stay tuned for more.
