RY X confirms debut LP on Loma Vista, shares new track

Listen closely to RY X. He creates songs that are intimate, intuitive and devotional - think Nick Drake meets Nils Frahm.

RY has already gotten quite a bit of attention overseas - 40M streams on Spotify, 6M views for his "Berlin" music video, and Sam Smith even covered one of his songs for the BBC. Speaking of Berlin, Ry also has deep ties to the electronic/house music scene there through Howling, his collaboration with Frank Wiedemann. You may also have heard RY X's "stunning" (Pigeons & Planes) voice by way of The Acid, his project with DJ Adam Freeland and composer Steve Nalepa, which has earned praise from Pitchfork, NPR and others.

On May 6th Loma Vista will release RY X's full-length debut entitled 'Dawn,' and this morning he shared the lead track "Only" available to stream now (feel free to post): http://found.ee/RyX_Only

"Only" was recorded live to tape at LA's Pulse Studio and with RY playing every instrument. Ahead of a European tour, RY X will be at SXSW later this month (he was just featured on NPR's SXSW 2016 playlist), performing two sets on Friday March 18th, details below.

Fri 3/18 - Windish Day Party (outdoor stage) - Mohawk - 3PM

Fri 3/18 - Communion Showcase - St. David’s Historic Sanctuary - 11:30PM
