San Cisco Releases 'Gracetown' March 17 On Island City Records

San Cisco's new album 'Gracetown,' out March 17 on the band's own Island City Records, explores the hormonal tangle of postmodern sexual politics while expanding the sun-drenched indie pop sound of the six-time Aria Award-nominated Australian band's 2012 self-titled album, which includes the AUS Gold single, "Awkward." The album's twelve new, original songs were recorded at John Butler's Compound studio in Fremantle, West Australia, with singer Jordi Davieson and guitarist Josh Biondillo joining long-time producer, Steven Schram behind the boards. 'Gracetown' reflects sharply on relationships, primarily the ache and anxiety behind young love. On "Too Much Time Together," Davieson and drummer/singer Scarlett Stevens narrate a self-combusting romance to a bright ooh-filled tune; on "Jealousy," guest Isabella Manfredi (The Preatures) and Davieson's voices weave together in grimy raps over a nagging synth and plucking bass line; and "Snow" pulses with brooding intensity as Davieson longs for the girl back home while on tour.

San Cisco will return to the United States for the first time since their sold-out 2013 tour, which included shows at Bowery Ballroom and The Echoplex as well as worldwide festival performances from Lollapalooza to Reading and Leeds. This March, the band will play an already-sold-out Troubadour set in LA as well as dates in NYC and at SXSW. Tour dates below.
