Sapphira Cristál Wants You To “Keep It Cute” on New Collab with Ocean Kelly
Euphoric EDM Bop Out Now – LISTEN HERE
Debut Album The Cristál Ball Out November 2024
RuPaul’s Drag Race icon Sapphira Cristál is kicking off the fall season with an electrifying bite of musical dynamite, today dropping her latest single and high-speed collab with Ocean Kelly, “Keep It Cute”. It’s a cut from Sapphira’s forthcoming The Cristál Ball debut album that will drop November 2024 via PEG Records.
Written by Sapphira, Ocean Kelly, Honey Davenport and James Blaszko, and produced by Ocean Kelly, “Keep It Cute” is a warning to any potential haters to check themselves and watch what they say, or else. Blending impressive rap skills with an EDM build and cleverly sewing in Gioachino Rossini’s iconic William Tell Overture (hearkening back to Sapphira’s ties to classical music and opera), “Keep It Cute” is a flashy, wild ride and a testament to the drag icon’s artistic versatility.
Of the new track, Sapphira shared: “Keep It Cute" is a bold, sassy anthem that calls out the haters while staying effortlessly classy. Despite being crowned Miss Congeniality with a smile that can light up any room, I’ve had my fair share of shade thrown at me. This track is my way of saying: "Keep it cute, or you’ll see a side of me that’s anything but sweet!" "In a nod to my operatic roots, the iconic theme of the William Tell Overture is infused into the mix, blending classical influences with modern pop for a sound that is as bold and uncompromising as the message!" "What made creating this bop extra special was the collaboration with Ocean Kelly and Honey Davenport. Their unique flair and unapologetic energy brought the track to life in ways I never could have imagined. Together, we were able to make a fun, fierce song to remind everyone that kindness isn’t weakness, and sometimes you have to put people in their place with a little swagger and a lot of style!” “Keep It Cute” follows Sapphira’s summertime anthems “Enough” (which PaperMagazine debuted) and “Get Your Flowers” (about which Billboard said, “We all need a voice like Sapphira Cristál’s in our lives.”) as well as a performance at the legendary Lincoln Center in NYC, an appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live!, her Miss Congeniality win on the most recent season of RuPaul’s Drag Race, and a massive solo headlining North American tour. |
