Following the film premiere, Sawyer Brown took the stage for a special acoustic performance of the hit songs, including “Some Girls Do,” “The Walk,” “Thank God For You” and more, that made the band a country music staple in the 80s and 90s. The band also debuted the title track from its upcoming record ‘Desperado Troubadours’ (out 3.8) for the lucky audience.

The performance marked the first time that guitarists Bobby RandallShayne Hill and Duncan Cameron have performed together on-stage.

Sawyer Brown is geared up for a year-long celebration of the 40th anniversary since breaking onto the scene as the first-ever winners of the talent competition Star Search in 1983. Last Friday (9.29), the band shared its first new music in almost 20 years with “Under This Ole Hat.” Listen here: youtu.be/_TeF9yGh3HI?si=J9GKLB49YZsq5mS9
