Say She She's Femme-Forward, Discodelic Funk Takes To The Global Dance Floor On Sophomore LP Silver — OUT TODAY on Karma Chief/Colemine Records

Biggest Headlining Tour Launches with Double Header at LA’s Lodge Room (9/28 + 9/29), Includes NYC’s Bowery Ballroom (10/17)

Say She She reimagine the world as one big dancefloor” —Shindig

“Boundary busting, discodelic soul” —The Guardian

“Say She She’s stellar harmonies always have us swooning” —KCRW

Today, Say She She releases their sophomore album Silver on Karma Chief/Colemine Recordsa 16-track collection of their singular post-disco sound that proves they are the "staggeringly inventive” breakout band to watch (The Guardian).

Rooted in a bedrock of tonal warmth, Silver is reminiscent of the likes of Rotary Connection, Asha Puthli, Liquid Liquid, Grace Jones and Tom Tom Club. Solidifying their previous forays into global disco, Silver presents Sabrina Cunningham, Nya Gazelle Brown and Piya Malik as fearless, fully-formed songwriters melding their disparate backgrounds into one glorious, revolutionary collective. Silver was largely written and recorded live to tape at Killion Sound studio in North Hollywood produced by Sergio Rios (Orgone, Cee Lo Green, Alicia Keys)

Lauren Laverne just premiered “Bleeding Heart” on BBC6, an electrifying story about chasing a folkloric love that's so devastating you travel the world but can't escape it. Plus, Say She She will be releasing a video for “Questions” next week, a stark warning to stand against the notion that you shouldn’t question the powers that be. Both tracks are out now alongside all of Silver

Say She She will be on tour all fall, performing their biggest headlining run to date with a double header at LA’s Lodge Room (9/28 + 9/29) and NYC’s Bowery Ballroom (10/17) plus key festival slots including Hardly Strictly Bluegrass and LEVITATION. See below for the full itinerary.

Since releasing their debut album Prism last year, Say She She has made their national TV debut on CBS Saturday, hit #1 on KCRW's Top 30 chart four times in the past 12 months, made their Hollywood Bowl debut on a bill with Portugal. the Man and Chicano Batman, opened the ‘23 Central Park Summerstage season, and played three sets plus a performance on the BBC in just 24 hours during their Glastonbury Festival debut.

Opening with the fiery incantation that is “Reeling” — singing “Kick the door down, smash the ceiling, leave ‘em reeling!” — Silver is a musical journey imbued with political grit. Ranging from protest anthems to Hindi-flecked songwriting and feel-good disco-infused pop tracks, reminding listeners of the beauty in the world while asserting their respective identities as modern-femmes.

From their collective backgrounds in education, speechwriting, and nonprofit work, Say She She has learned that the best ways to take action are direct, loud, and proud — just like their music. “NORMA” — the group’s protest track written in response to the decision to overturn Roe v Wade — supports the protection of women’s rights and the right to choose.

Their most recent single, “Echo In The Chamber,” is a fiery anthem that works to support the Background Check Expansion Act — a bipartisan proposal widely supported by organizations like Sandy Hook Promise, Moms Demand Action, The National Education Association and others which requires background checks on all gun sales — Say She She’s new digital and record store initiative provides fans with postcards that include a call to action against the national gun violence epidemic, meant to be sent to your local representative.
