February 22, 2023 – Seeker Music, the new songwriter-led music rights and publishing company, has signed Australian born, LA-based songwriter/producer, DJ, and recording artist Kito to their publishing roster. Boasting hundreds of millions of streams (and counting), a Global APRA Music Award nomination for Breakthrough Songwriter of the Year, and collaborations with the likes of FLETCHER (the Gold-certified, 200M+ streamed “Bitter”), Empress Of, AlunaGeorge, Jorja Smith, and more, Kito has taken the alt-pop and dance genres by storm and - up until now - been one of the most sought-after signees in the publishing world.

Since hitting the scene as a DJ in 2010, Kito, whose work is as unique as it is genre-less, has remixed, written, and produced with the biggest names in electronic music, R&B, and pop, as well as developed a successful career as an artist in her own right. Remix-wise, she’s brought her playful touch and skipping drums to the likes of Beyonce’s “Run the World,” Saweetie and Doja Cat’s “Best Friend,” and MARINA’s “Venus Fly Trap.” She’s produced and written with Mabel, BANKS, Tinashé, and Jorja Smith, and “Bitter” (her song with FLETCHER) has now earned her her first RIAA Gold-certified single. On her own, Kito’s EP Blossom includes features from the likes of Jeremih, ZHU, and Terror Jr. Pitchfork said: “Australian producer Kito is known for music distinguished by off-kilter drops, warped synths, and a reliably nimble touch.”

What sealed the deal for Kito was Seeker’s songwriter-led, mentorship-focused, “quality over quantity” vision. Founded by chart-topping songwriter Evan Bogart (Beyonce’s “Halo,” Rihanna’s “SOS”), Seeker’s creator-first approach means that every songwriter gets individualized attention, mentorship, and creative strategy along with the opportunities that they need to grow their brands and businesses to be fully-realized, long-term, and scalable. Bogart and his team only sign songwriters that they’re truly passionate about, and for whom they see unique opportunity - and they empower that mindset in their music creators, as well. “We challenge our writers and say, ‘Do you really LOVE this? Because if you don't, let’s say no! We try to focus their time, energy, and passion on things that they truly love and connect with, on projects that are meaningful for them to grow as creators,” Bogart explains. “The goal is to create a brand, to tune the universe in to who you are and what brings you joy, and then to curate an incoming business where you get to create purely for projects you love, with people you love. If we can get them there, everybody wins.”

Kito said of working with Seeker: “I trust Evan because he understands what it’s like to write a song and bring it into the world. He’s also built himself as a songwriter ‘business,’ and worked with, and mentored, some of the greatest writers in the world. The whole team at Seeker really ‘gets’ the creative process and what’s important to music creators. I’m excited for this next chapter together and everything we’re cooking up for 2023 and beyond.”

Bogart said “Everyone wanted to sign Kito and I couldn’t be prouder that she chose Seeker to be her family. She’s insanely talented and she’s going to dominate music, and the music business, in the years to come.”

Other Seeker frontline signings include Sofía Valdés (Warner Records), Katie Pearlman (Kelly Clarkson, Grace Potter, Sabrina Carpenter), Sweetsound (Jesse Baez, Snoop Dogg, Natanael Cano), and MNDR (GRAMMY-Winning electro-pop artist, songwriter, and producer - Mark Ronson’s “Bang Bang Bang,” Flume’s “Like Water,” etc), and complement a catalog-based roster that includes the works of songwriters like John Ryan (who helped put One Direction on the map), Jon Bellion and Brian Alexander Morgan (SWV’s biggest hits); artists like Christopher Cross and Run the Jewels, and many more. And In addition to working with catalogs and individual songwriters, Seeker's also forged partnerships with fast-rising Danish music publishing, management and creative licensing company Tigerspring, whose clients include hitmakers Sylvester “Sly” Sivestren (Maneskin “SUPERMODEL”, Dua Lipa “We’re Good”) and Tommy Baxter (Ritual, Dua Lipa, 6lack); as well as the LA-based music company AntiGravity, which specializes in the creation of music for sync, as well as artist management.
