Follow Sierra Ferrell down her Trail of Flowers: today, on the heels of two sold-out nights at the historic Ryman Auditorium, Nashville's ascendant new star releases the album that shows why she is being called "one of country and roots music's most fascinating and fastest-rising artists" (Rolling Stone). Across these 12 songs, Ferrell brings listeners on a beautifully-untamed, time-bending journey of resilience, rebirth and reflection, merging classic musicianship with decidedly modern concerns. In her transformation from train-hopping vagabond to viral sensation, she has honed her spellbinding style of storytelling in trailer parks, dive bars, truck stops and everywhere in between, but Trail of Flowers reveals the wealth of wisdom she has amassed along the way. Whether she’s singing about the search for love, livelihood or the American dream, Sierra Ferrell opens up her wild and wondrous world, giving listeners a sacred place to pour their own feelings into.

Listen to Trail of Flowers, out now via Rounder Records, and watch the new music video for "American Dreaming": HERE

Produced by Eddie Spear (Zach Bryan, Brandi Carlile, Chris Stapleton), with additional production by Gary Paczosa (Alison Krauss, Dwight Yoakam, Gillian Welch), Trail of Flowers captures the inimitable voice and transportive sound that has made Sierra Ferrell one of the moment's most in-demand musicians. Across the album she is joined by friends and special guests like Chris ScruggsLukas NelsonNikki Lane and more, and while she has drawn comparisons to "Loretta Lynn's holler-raised twang, Dolly Parton's effortless melodiousness, Bessie Smith's confident rasp" (Pitchfork), Trail of Flowers is distinctly Sierra: unconventional, unbreakable, and unforgettable. Primarily recorded at Nashville's Sound Emporium Studios, arrangements further expand her arsenal, from big, booming drums to a new infatuation with the fiddle, to the way she is able to build a mountain of emotion out of the most intimate breaths.

Trail of Flowers marks her first new album since 2021's Long Time Coming, and since then Sierra Ferrell has collaborated with Zach Bryan, Diplo, Margo Price, Shakey Graves and The Black Keys, been covered by Kelly Clarkson, and shared stages with Dave Matthews, Lana Del Rey, Nathaniel Rateliff and more. She earned Emerging Artist of The Year at the 2022 Americana Honors & Awards, and sold out every one of her live shows in 2023, but has already reached even greater heights in 2024. In the runup to today's record release, she made her national TV debut on Jimmy Kimmel Live!, was profiled by Rolling Stone, and will tell her story in an upcoming profile on CBS Mornings, airing this coming Wednesday, March 27th.

In the days of her nomadic upbringing, the West Virginia native turned any street corner, box car or alleyway into her stage, but Sierra Ferrell will soon return to the road for her largest headline performances to date. With nearly every show completely sold-out, her national Shoot For The Moon Tour resumes with two sold-out nights at LA's Fonda Theatre next month, before taking her all across the country this spring and summer. Additional stops include a series of stadiums, amphitheaters, and arenas with Zach BryanThe Avett Brothers and Mitski, plus Newport Folk Fest and more.
