Songfluencer, the Nashville-based music marketing firm using data-driven technology to earn music success on TikTok and other social platforms, has hired Preffy founder, Charlie Davis, to serve as a Senior Software Developer for the burgeoning company. 

Beginning his role in May 2021, after Songfluencer acquired Preffy, Davis brings a wide range of experience to the table. Having previously served as a web developer at both Spotify and Laylo, he holds both a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree from Cornell University’s Computing and Information Science Department.

Preffy, which was recently featured in Billboard and Business Insider, is a breakout platform that allows artists to host prize-based competitions with influencers to see who can garner the most likes on a social media video featuring the artist’s song. Its acquisition furthers Songfluencer’s stake in the music tech community, as Rolling Stonelauds the startup for “transforming guesswork and prayer into something closer to science.”
