SoundCTRL's 5th Annual FlashFWD Awards Spotlights Music & Tech at Irving Plaza, 5.14

SoundCTRL & Green Label will host their 5th Annual FlashFWD Awards on Wednesday, May 14th at NYC's Irving Plaza with performances by Vic Mensa, Curtis Fields, Jingle Punks Hipster Orchestra and Young Guru, in addition to a surprise headlining performance.  The event will be hosted by TV producer and former XXL Editor-in-Chief Elliott Wilson.

Called the "Golden Globes" of Music Tech, FlashFWD honors both emerging stars and industry heavyweights in music and technology by bringing attention to these innovators. By recognizing them, FlashFWD amplifies their mission as they rise to the top of the culture ethos. 

In past years, FlashFWD Awards have hosted performances by Joey Bada$$, Pusha T, Chiddy Bang and Robert DeLong, along with special appearances by Atom Factory Founder & CEO Troy Carter, award-winning artist & producer Talib Kweli and legendary record producer Swizz Beatz, among many others.  Additionally, past winners including Spotify, Songza, SoundCloud, Tumblr, Pitchfork and The Hype Machine have taken home awards for revolutionizing the way people consume music.
