St. Paul & The Broken Bones Perform Two-Song Medley from The Alien Coast on Jimmy Kimmel Live!

Embarking on Massive Tour With Fitz & The Tantrums in June

Last night, St. Paul & The Broken Bones - known for their "potent live show that knocks audiences on their ass" (Esquire) - performed a special medley of two songs from their new album The Alien Coast (ATO) on Jimmy Kimmel Live!

Watch them tear through “3000 AD Mass” and “Minotaur” HERE.

The soulful 8-piece band, fronted by powerhouse vocalist Paul Janeway, is currently on a massive tour in support of The Alien Coast, which was released on Jan 28. The worldwide tour launched in March with a sold-out Beacon Theatre show in NYC, and includes a co-headline run with Fitz and the Tantrums in June followed by headline and festival dates in Europe. The band also just taped a KEXP session in Seattle, set to be released later this month.

A heady fever dream convergence of soul and psych, The Alien Coast, has earned the band recent performances on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert and CBS Saturday, interviews with the New YorkerNPR All Things Considered and Elton John, a towering Spotify billboard in Times Square, and love from NPR Music, Relix, and Garden & Gun who called the album "exceptional...their most musically adventurous to date. Think Al Green paired with the atmospheric grandeur of Pink Floyd and a dash of Outkast funk."

The most adventurous release yet from this ever-evolving musical powerhouse, The Alien Coast is a convergence of soul and psychedelia, stoner metal and funk inspired by Greek mythology, dystopian sci-fi, 17th-century Italian sculpture, and more. According to Janeway, “This album was birthed through the idea of falling asleep in a hotel and having a sequence of nightmares, then waking up and missing home so badly.” Produced by Matt Ross-Spang, The Alien Coast is the first album the band has recorded in its hometown of Birmingham, Alabama.

St. Paul & the Broken Bones is: Paul Janeway (vocals), Jesse Phillips (bass), Browan Lollar (guitar), Kevin Leon (drums), Al Gamble (keyboards), Allen Branstetter (trumpet), Chad Fisher (trombone), and Amari Ansari (saxophone).
