Like all songs on the album, recorded live in Hoffs' Los Angeles home, "Bad Case of Loneliness" and previous singles "This Island" and "Casablanca" began by an artist and her closest friends gathering around the kitchen table and sharing the stories that define oneself. From heartbreak to an empty nest, a new crush, foolish mistakes and the fading memory of what might have been, it is all part of The List, as Susanna Hoffs turns her deepest, decade-spanning memories into a collection of 12 songs that not only reflect what it has meant to be alive and in love, but turn the page to a new chapter in her astounding artistic legacy.
