Friday, August 26 - 24 year old Swedish pop-rock artist and producer ISA releases “Teenage Anxiety Boulevard” via fan powered platform Corite, ahead of her EP to follow later this year. The single begins with “I heard that mean girls never get hurt, too bad I’m not one,” diving into the apprehension and insecurity of your teenage reality. The driving pop-rock single is full of catharsis, and almost like a daydream of escaping those uncertain but exciting years. Here, ISA showcases what she does best, a soaring and emotional pop melody, with punchy pop-rock vocals cutting through to the heart of her message. Many of the singles from her upcoming EP were penned from her own experience managing mental health struggles. As she wrote, she unearthed that the ups and downs are really the beauty of living, and that life is meant to be imperfect.

The 24-year-old emerging artist first hit the Swedish pop scene in 2012, releasing a string of music and collaborating with artists such as 3X Grammy nominated artist, Garren. This Spring she released her first single in two years, the dreamy ballad “Happy Again,” which was featured on New Music Friday Denmark. The single was a departure from her signature upbeat pop sound, revealing a new side of what’s to come for her upcoming EP. ISA also recently performed in LA showcases at Thirteen Play lounge and Peppermint Club, performing songs like her most recent single, the upbeat pop-rock anthem “Nobody Said.”
