Today, Talkhouse could not be more thrilled to welcome How Long Gone to its award-winning podcast network. Hosted by Chris Black and Jason Stewart, How Long Gonehas been hailed as "the podcast everyone wants to appear on" (The Guardian) and "a clubhouse for the chattering classes" (The New York Times). It has been described as both "brain-soothing" (British GQ) and "a tricky phenomenon to wrap your head around" (Vulture), delivering its own charming and critical strain of color commentary on all things culture, fashion and fitness.
Since its conception and initial rise during the pandemic's early days in 2020, How Long Gone has been an independent operation for almost 500 episodes, but through their new deal together, Talkhouse will now handle the series' distribution, ad sales, marketing and podcast-relevant partnerships. Maintaining its tireless clip of three shows per week, and a growing audience of more than half a million monthly listeners, the podcast will continue to welcome an illustrious and inherently interesting array of guests, unrivaled even by the most elite of programs. In the past year alone, Black and Stewart have showcased their unscriptable ability to hold engaging and uniquely hilarious conversations with just about anybody, whether it be from the worlds of music (The 1975, Caroline Polachek, Diplo, Goo Goo Dolls), film (BJ Novak, Lee Pace), print media (Bret Easton Ellis, The New Yorker's Naomi Fry, GQ's Will Welch), art and design (Aries' Sofia Prantera, Chloe Wise, Roe Ethridge), culinary arts (Carla Lalli Music, Ghetto Gastro, Uncle Paulie), fellow podcasters (Chapo Trap House, Zane Lowe), or comedy (Cat Cohen, Esther King, Robby Hoffman).
"We're major fans of what Chris and Jason are doing," says Ian Wheeler, Founder of Talkhouse Creative Studio. "We're excited to bring their particular brand of sophistication and nuance to even more fans and, importantly, more sexy as hell brands. We couldn't be more honored to work/build together."
Chris Black and Jason Stewart add, "We are very excited to partner with Talkhouse. They have a proven track record and great taste and will allow us to continue avoiding Patreon. Björk, Feist, The New Republic…How Long Gone makes sense."
How Long Gone joins the Talkhouse Podcast Network alongside a roster of other acclaimed, culture-centric and conversation-based series such as Bjork: Sonic Symbolism, Jokermen, Santigold's Noble Champions, That's How I Remember It with Craig Finn, Aquarium Drunkard: Transmissions, the flagship Talkhouse Podcast and more that listeners spent nearly 200 million minutes with in 2022.
Following recently sold-out live shows in the US and UK, where they were joined on-stage by Alexa Chung, Alison Roman, Hari Nef, Joe Mande and John Early, How Long Gonehas also announced a new slate of tour dates today. In May, they will return to Philadelphia, Black's native Atlanta, and Chicago, before appearing as the sole podcast on the lineup of California's 2000s-era indie music festival, Just Like Heaven.
