The Bros. Landreth Announce New Album ‘Come Morning’ Due May 13

First Single “Stay” Out Now (2.16)

JUNO-Award winning sibling-duo The Bros. Landreth have captivated music lovers with “a quiet storm of slide guitar solos, blue notes, three-part harmonies" (Rolling Stone) and "badass-in-a-lovely-way harmonies” (Relix) since the band’s debut album. Now, they’re re-inventing their musical identity with their third full-length record ‘Come Morning,’ available May 13 via Birthday Cake Records. The album showcases Joey Landreth’s skills as a producer for the first time ever, collaborating alongside Murray Pulver. Mixed and mastered by Greg Koller (Anderson East, Mac Miller, Bruce Springsteen, Katy Perry), the record features appearances from Leith Ross, Aaron Sterling (Taylor Swift, Shawn Mendes, John Mayer) and more.

Today (2.16), The Bros. Landreth share the album’s first single “Stay,” a smooth, R&B-meets-Americana roots flavored song about the internal conflict of wanting to settle down after spending 15 long years on the road as touring musicians.

The vulnerability of “Stay” is an open window into the core narrative of ‘Come Morning.’ It’s the most immersive, emotive and introspective album of The Bros. Landreth’s career as the hone in on intentionality as the cornerstone of the songs.

”The overarching theme here is hope,” says Joey. "Many of these songs lean into the tough stuff, like processing emotional trauma and finding strength on the other side. It’s a bit of a myth that you’re ever done working on that. Dave and I have just begun the journey, and that’s why this record represents the rebirth we wanted ’87 to be. We’re working through the pain, processing it, unpacking our baggage, and beginning to move forward. Last time, we were just walking on a rug that had all kinds of stuff swept under it.”

Sonically, ‘Come Morning’ laces melody-driven songs with layers of atmospheric synth, organ and textured guitar. It’s a pivot from the brothers’ previous albums that were built on their strong live performances. This time they obsessed over tones and parts – recorded, then re-recorded. They tore these songs down to the studs and built them back up piece by piece.

At the core, ‘Come Morning’ is a reflection of hard truths and a nod to new beginnings from two born-to-collaborate brothers. For more info, visit thebroslandreth.com.
