Pittsburgh Octet Also Announce End-Of-Year US Tour Dates In Florida

Fiery Pittsburgh powerhouse octet The Commonheart has garnered wide-acclaim for their latest effort ‘Pressure’ (out via Julian Records) with American Songwriter saying it “radiates true soul” and with NPR Music praising the group’s brand of “hyper-passionate blues-rock.” The group played tracks from the record on their debut CBS Saturday performance, which aired on Nov. 2. Alongside the emotive performance, this “biblical thunderstorm” (Pittsburgh Post-Gazette) of a group have announced additional tour dates in Florida to close out 2019 with a bang.

The Commonheart’s gritty, redemptive brand of rock n’ soul has drawn comparisons to Joe Cocker. ‘Pressure’ was produced by Jeremy and Christopher McDonald (Fleet Foxes, Feist), creating a ten-song collection that embodies the band’s rugged yet refined aesthetic, and showcases pristinely recorded, raw-nerve musicianship.

The Commonheart has shared the stage with Gary Clark Jr. and performed on the Outlaw Music Festival tour with Willie Nelson, Van Morrison, Sturgill Simpson, and more. They recently played Americanafest, Summer Camp Music Festival and Mountain Jam. The band’s 2019 headlining tour saw them take the stage in NYC, Chicago and more.
