Monday, May 20 (Bentonville, AR) - This past weekend, the Momentary hosted FreshGrass|Bentonville, the fourth annual two-day bluegrass and roots festival, which hosted over 6,000 attendees. Festival highlights included showstopping closeout performances from Valerie June and Jason Isbell and the 400 Unit on Saturday. Additionally, the festival featured electric performances from Molly Tuttle & Golden HighwayTrampled by Turtles, and The Po’ Ramblin’ Boys. The weekend also included a standout performance of “America, Come” from GRAMMY Award-winning songwriter Aoife O’Donovan’s new album All My Friends, a musical exploration of voting rights for women inspired by the lives, letters, and speeches of the president of the National American Woman Suffrage Association during the summer of 1920. The incredibly moving tribute was performed alongside the University of Arkansas Children’s Choir.

Next year’s festival will take place Friday, May 16 & Saturday, May 17. Until then, you can view photos from this year’s festival HERE.

The Momentary’s summer concert series, Live on the Green, kicked off last month with a showstopping performance by Jon Batiste and continues on June 1 with a special performance from 12X Grammy Award-winner, John Legend. The series, which takes place on the Momentary’s sprawling outdoor lawn, will also host Portugal. The Man (July 6), Nitty Gritty Dirt Band (July 14), Lake Street Dive (July 17), Slash (August 16), deadmau5 (August 24), TLC & Shaggy (September 6), Gary Clark Jr. (September 7), Patti LaBelle & Gladys Knight (September 13), and Kaskade (September 27).
