The Nacelle Company Announces They’ve Started Production On A New Series About Vintage Toy Stores Across America Titled ’A Toy Store Near You’

LOS ANGELES, CA – The Nacelle Company, the people behind Netflix’s The Toys That Made Us, and The Movies That Made Us, as well as Disney +’s Behind The Attraction announced they are working with vintage toy stores across the country to showcase them in a half hour series titled A Toy Store Near You, aimed at showing the world how these stores were founded, how they keep their shelves stocked, and what they sell.

A Toy Store Near You will feature stores across America that are still operating under legal guidelines during the health crisis. Some stores are running under an online storefront, while others have opted to provide curbside delivery only.

The first episode will feature Billy Galaxy Toys in Portland, Oregon, one of the premiere toy stores in the country.

“The Nacelle Company has taken a personal interest in the livelihoods of toy dealers across the globe.  This shows the genuineness of the enthusiasm and respect for the topic that made their "Toys That Made Us" series such a hit. I am honored to be a part of this show,” said Billy Galaxy, Owner of Billy Galaxy Vintage Toys and Collectibles.

The majority of the proceeds from the show will go back to each store that is featured, while states across the country go into mandatory quarantine situations to battle the COVID-19 crisis.

The series will initially be available on Amazon Prime Video, Vimeo, and YouTube, with one to two episodes expected per week starting mid-April. Down the line, it can be expected that other platforms for viewing will be added as they come online.
