The Roxy have continued to find new ways to celebrate their 50th anniversary this month, announcing the first ‘Sunset & Vinyl Market’ record fair on September 17 and the addition of even more new shows to their illustrious fall lineup. ‘Sunset & Vinyl Market’ will be open to the public adjacent to The Roxy (9009 Sunset Blvd) from 8AM to 1PM on September 17, featuring iconic West Hollywood vendors like the Rainbow Bar & Grill and Holey Grail donuts and coffee; alongside booths from Los Angeles vinyl leaders like Record Safari, Deadly Wax, Boogie Maru Sounds, AudioPhileUSA, Shattered Music, Galaxy Music, Str33trecords, and many more. Exclusive and limited-edition merchandise for The Roxy’s 50th anniversary will also be available, curated by Oscar Adler and featuring the club’s classic “Rockin’ R” logo, at https://theroxymerch.com/.
New shows have also been added to this milestone celebration for the iconic Sunset Strip music club. Adding to a fall lineup that already features two special shows from Neil Young with Crazy Horse (September 20 and 21) - benefitting The Painted Turtle and Bridge School - The Roxy has added performances from Metric, celebrating the 20th anniversary of Old World Underground, Where Are You Now? on October 12 (tickets here), Ricky Lee Jones on October 18 (tickets here) and Tkay Maidza on November 7 (tickets here). Additional shows that were previously announced include the return of Los Angeles’ own Wallows to The Roxy on September 23 and Stephen Marley performing his father Bob Marley’s legendary album ‘Live at Roxy,' recorded at the club in 1976 (taking place September 24, with a second “late show” now added that same night, tickets here).
Fall highlights for the club’s “Roxy50” celebrations will also include d4vd (September 6), it’s murph (September 8), Keke Palmer (September 11), Paris Texas (October 1), Better Lovers (October 15), Tigers Jaw (October 16), underscores (October 25), STRFKR (October 27), Nation of Language (October 28), Unknown Mortal Orchestra (November 6), Saint Levant (November 10) and Dillon Francis (November 30).
