[May 22, 2025] — The World’s Largest Karaoke Party is back. 

On Thursday, July 3th, 2025, from 4pm–10pm, The Salt Shed and The Empty Bottle will once again turn the spotlight over to Chicago’s most daring fans. For one epic summer night, 5,000+ people will gather at The Salt Shed Fairgrounds for a FREE, open-air, all-voices-welcome karaoke blowout — where everyday music lovers get the chance to sing their hearts out on one of the city’s largest outdoor stages.

Presented by 16 On Center, the independent collective behind beloved venues like Thalia Hall and SPACE, the World’s Largest Karaoke Party is part concert, part community celebration — a one-of-a-kind experience that merges music, mischief, and the magic of singing badly (or brilliantly) in public. This year’s event is again hosted by Karaoke Masters Ryan Murphy & Amber Mueller, with singers chosen on-site via live sign-up. A handful of guaranteed performance slots will also be raffled in advance, with proceeds benefiting local nonprofit partners.

Following last year’s massive turnout and viral moments, 2025’s edition promises more surprises, more costumes, and more unforgettable performances. Co-created by Empty Bottle owner Bruce Finkleman and managing partner Matt Ciarleglio, the event was designed as a joyful, left-of-center way to bring the city together — giving anyone brave enough the chance to live out their rock star fantasy (or nightmare) on a giant stage, with full production.

ABOUT 16 ON CENTER
