“[Theo’s music is] timeless and of the moment.”

Wall Street Journal

“Theo Croker finds a path to jazz greatness on “Dream Manifest” by unlearning the rules of the genre. It’s that eclecticism and adventurous spirit that propels this excellent album, where he lets the full scope of his imagination wander…”

LA TIMES

"Theo Croker [has] an unmistakable air of chill… That chill is the result of a clear musical approach and determination."

NPR

“If the sound on Dream Manifest is human-to-human hookup, the mood is tenderness — serenity and tension forming covalent bonds. Live, Croker’s music eclipses everything: it’s communal, vulnerable, and defiantly analog in a digital age. The brain may work to organize information, but the heart beats for chaos and evolution — and Croker is prepared for that.”

“And though some would call Croker a jazz musician, he’s ready to move beyond the label... [Dream Manifest] is expansive, and spans many kinds of sounds—jazz, fusion, neo-soul, hip-hop, and rap (to name a few).”

ESQUIRE

“Theo Croker is a trumpeter, vocalist, composer and bandleader whose powerful and eclectic take on modern jazz pays respect to the tradition of the music while moving the genre forward.”

TIDAL

"[Theo] seeks to break away from narrow definitions of jazz"

Jazzwise

“With two feet planted firmly in the jazz world, as well as tentacles reaching into hip-hop, R&B, ambient, world music, and experimental genres, Grammy-nominated producer, composer, and trumpeter Theo Croker makes his voice heard far and wide.”

Today, GRAMMY-nominated composer, producer, and trumpeter Theo Croker has released his latest album Dream Manifest, out now via Dom Recs. Blending jazz, dance, neo-soul, R&B, and experimental hip-hop, Dream Manifest is a bold sonic statement—balancing deep-rooted tradition with fearless exploration. The final single “One Pillow,” featuring Estelle and Kassa Overall, arrives alongside the album.

Croker will perform “Up Frequency (Higher)” with vocalist MAAD on The Kelly Clarkson Show on June 16, followed by a residency at Blue Note NYC from August 14–17 in celebration of the album’s release. Full tour dates are listed here and below.

Dream Manifest marks a milestone for Theo Croker—an artist whose genre-defying vision has earned him GRAMMY nominations, credits on platinum-selling albums by J. Cole, Ari Lennox, and Common, and countless other accolades. At the heart of the album is collaboration, with an all-star cast including Estelle, Kassa Overall, Tyreek McDole, MAAD, Gary Bartz, Natureboy Flako, Malaya, and D’LEAU—each adding their own distinct energy to the project.

Early singles from the album showcase Croker’s boundary-pushing vision. “High Vibrations,” featuring singer-songwriter Malaya and producer/multi-instrumentalist D’LEAU (J*Davey), pairs sleek trumpet lines with house-inspired production for a bold, genre-blurring statement. The second single, “We Still Wanna Dance,” is an intoxicating blend of neo-soul, electronic grooves, and Croker’s signature trumpet virtuosity—a vibrant celebration of rhythm and movement. “Crystal Waterfalls” takes a more introspective turn, fusing jazz with warped, experimental hip-hop. Shimmering hi-hats, subdued synths, and Croker’s melodic precision create a transcendent soundscape that makes clear: this album defies easy categorization.

A seasoned performer, Theo Croker has brought his bold vision to major stages, including NPR’s Tiny Desk and The Late Show with Stephen Colbert. Inspired by his grandfather, GRAMMY-winning jazz trumpeter Doc Cheatham, Croker took up the trumpet and later studied at Oberlin Conservatory under the mentorship of Donald Byrd. After graduation, he spent seven years between Shanghai and New York, collaborating across genres and cultures to shape his distinctive sound. His major-label debut, Afrophysicist (Sony Masterworks)—produced by Dee Dee Bridgewater, whom he previously served as musical director for—marked the first milestone in this evolution.

Vinyl of Dream Manifest will be available, coming soon via FatBeats. Dream Manifest is out now via Dom Recs and available anywhere you stream music.
