Tig Notaro And Comedy Dynamics To Celebrate Worldwide Release Of ‘Drawn’ Album At Her Ace Hotel Performance, May 14th

LOS ANGELES, CA – Comedy Dynamics and Tig Notaro are excited to announce that her special, Drawn, is now available on audio platforms worldwide including Sirius XM, Spotify, Apple Music, Pandora, Amazon Music and more. Tig’s May 14th show at The Theatre at the Ace Hotel in Downtown Los Angeles will serve as the official album release event for Drawn, which is being distributed by Comedy Dynamics.

Emmy and Grammy-nominated comedian, podcaster, writer, and actor Tig Notaro (HBO’s Tig Notaro: Boyish Girl Interrupted) stars in the first-ever fully animated stand-up special, Tig Notaro: Drawn. The hour-long special blends Notaro’s signature voice and storytelling with a variety of artistic styles as she recounts a hospital bed proposal, a high school talent show gone awry, the repercussions of a dental procedure, unintentionally blowing off fellow comedian Jenny Slate, a road trip with Dolly Parton, and more.

The special is written by Tig Notaro; Directed by Greg Franklin; Executive produced by Tig Notaro, Thomas Ouellette, Hunter Seidman, Ellen DeGeneres, Jeff Kleeman, Greg Franklin, Brendan Burch; Produced by Rachel Abarbanell; Animation by Six Point Harness, Inc; Produced for HBO by Ellen DeGeneres’ A Very Good Production and Tig Notaro’s ZeroDollarsandZeroSense Productions.

For two seasons, Tig wrote, produced, and starred in the critically acclaimed semi-autobiographical Amazon series One Mississippi, which she co-created with Oscar Award winner Diablo Cody. The series yielded several award nominations, including WGA, GLAAD and The Critics Choice Awards. In 2013, Tig was nominated for a Grammy Award for her sophomore release, Live, the number one selling comedy album of 2012. Tig was also nominated for both an Emmy Award and a Grammy Award for her 2015 HBO special Boyish Girl Interrupted. She received a GLAAD Award nomination for the Netflix Original Documentary Tig. Her memoir, I’m Just a Person, is a New York Times Bestseller. Tig is a favorite on numerous talk shows, including Ellen, The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, and The Tonight Show w/ Jimmy Fallon. Tig currently plays Commander Jett Reno on Star Trek: Discovery, and played Marianne Peters in Zack Syner’s 2021 film, Army of the Dead

The news comes on the heels of Comedy Dynamics’ recent acquisition deal with Comedy Central to distribute hundreds of iconic comedy albums from Kevin Hart, Bo Burnham, Mitch Hedberg, Amy Schumer, Jo Koy, Roy Wood Jr, Joe Rogan, Norm Macdonald, Aziz Ansari, Maria Bamford, Hannibal Burress, Dave Attel, Natasha Leggero, John Mulaney, Marc Maron, Whitney Cummings, David Spade and more through the Comedy Dynamics record label.

“In addition to the honor of working with a respected Starfleet Officer, being in business with Tig Notaro is a comedy lover’s dream come true!” said Brian Volk-Weiss, Founder and CEO of Comedy Dynamics.
