Tune in: Okkervil River on CBS This Morning, Saturday Nov. 9th

Tune in to CBS This Morning, on Sat. Nov. 9 to catch Okkervil River's Will Sheff play two acoustic versions of songs from Okkervil River's critically acclaimed new album, 'The Silver Gymnasium.' Sheff will play the first song at 8:45am ET and close the show with a second song at 8:50am ET.

This is Okkervil River's first ever morning TV performance and follows their recent full band performance on Conan (http://shorefi.re/1c01fUF) and NPR Tiny Desk concert (http://shorefi.re/1bbxfTu). Last week, Okkervil River premiered the official music video for "Stay Young" via Rolling Stone.com (http://youtu.be/n7UeGBULQ7Y) and SPIN.com premiered the alternate, single-take video of "Stay Young" remixed by Lovestreams (http://youtu.be/YavsOfLmbxk).

'The Silver Gymnasium,' based around Sheff's small-town childhood in the mid-'80s, was named "one of the most anticipated albums of the fall" by New York Magazine. The NY Times called it "an aural bildungsroman" and Esquiresaid it's "some of their best material yet."

Okkervil River also created an original 8-bit adventure video game to accompany 'The Silver Gymnasium' (http://shorefi.re/17MHbFM) and worked with NPR Music to create an interactive map of Meriden, NH (http://shorefi.re/HGBqQc), letting fans take a digital tour of Sheff's hometown as depicted on the album.
