Today’s artists have so many ways to release their music. Digital technology has leveled the playing field, affording them the chance to create more music, promote themselves through social platforms, and utilize digital advertising more easily than ever. Navigating the avenues of opportunity calls for a champion to guide artists through the contemporary landscape of music promotion and distribution.
Enter Vere Music, a new Nashville-based team. Offering a fresh, strategic approach, Vere is a global distribution company that specializes in releasing music like a label but allows artists to retain 100% ownership of their masters.
Vere offers the following to its artists:
- Global distribution, partnering with ADA Worldwide, Warner Music Group’s independent label and artist services arm, to distribute music globally
- Higher-caliber marketing campaigns: from brand partnerships to full-blown advertising campaigns
- Label services: Publicity, content creation, social media, and digital advertising
Headed by industry veteran Rusty Harmon (Hootie & the Blowfish, Jason Michael Carroll, Reckless Kelly, Average Joe’s Entertainment) with A&R executive Alyssa Logan, Vere builds careers by providing full label services with global distribution from ADA Worldwide. Since launching, Vere has released 70 projects across a roster of artists that collectively counts more than 700M streams. Vere’s current roster boasts 15+ artists across genres, including David Nail (1+ million Spotify monthly listeners), TRACE (a former Ultra Records artist with more than 100M streams), Andrew Duhon (a Rolling Stone ‘best country and Americana’ songwriter), Joey Lawrence, Dan Rodriguez, Cody Webb, Alissa Moreno, and others. Vere also partners with labels, maximizing their distribution and marketing efforts. Its current label roster includes Clearwater Records, Gray Vonne Records, and TAOL Recordings.
“The music industry has undergone radical changes in the last several years. Distribution has increased in accessibility as digital platforms have grown,” says Harmon. “What remains consistent, however, is the key to reaching the masses. That key is the right marketing strategy, designed for each artist's specific goals, and for each stage of growth. Vere, through its relationship with ADA, offers access to a major distributor while delivering the right marketing drivers to achieve next level growth for an artist. Most importantly, Vere thrives on customer service. We are here to serve the artists.”
“We’re happy to welcome Vere to the ADA family, and Rusty’s illustrious past of artist development will surely make this a great partnership,” said Marcus Siskind, Head of U.S., ADA Worldwide.
