September 27th - Today, powerhouse vocalist and dynamic queer pop rising star VINCINT has released “Happens All The Time”, an electrifying collaboration with electronic duo Party Pupils that features a guest appearance from vocalist and Erykah Badu collaborator Durand Bernarr. The new track previews VINCINT’s forthcoming EP Conversations In The Comedown, a body of work that chronicles a summer filled with love and heartbreak on the dancefloor and serves as the first of a two-part EP project. 

A club-ready electropop track that serves as a showcase for VINCINT’s powerful vocals, “Happens All The Time” sees VINCINT weighing the downsides of a fleeting romance: “can I trust that you won’t break my heart / break my happy world apart / ‘cause I hear it happens all the time”. Party Pupil’s propulsive beat elevates VINCINT’s lyrics to dizzying heights, while Bernarr lends his soulful vocal chops to a guest verse. The perfect soundtrack for a cathartic night on the dancefloor, “Happens All The Time” gives fans a sneak preview of VINCINT’s next creative era.

Speaking about the track, VINCINT noted: “I wrote ‘Happens All The Time’ after a night out with friends where I stumbled into someone with a reputation for being a playboy and wanted to join our little group to get closer to me, but I was out to enjoy myself and the song word for word is what I said to him, essentially don’t come over messing up my night if you ain’t gonna act right, I know about you and I hear that Happens All The Time. It’s an act right anthem.” 

Party Pupils also commented: ““Happens All The Time’ is such a killer melodic dance record. Working with VINCINT for the first time and coming out with a strong tune like this is always such a good feeling. We waited a bit to finish it but when Durand Bernarr hopped on as the feature I couldn’t have been more excited. Really excited that our record together is out in the world!”

Today’s release and announcement follows an exciting summer for VINCINT, which saw the release of the singles “Another Lover”, a collaboration with Adam Lambertthat Billboard declared a "phenomenal pop banger", and “Love Me Tonight”, a shimmering summer love song that saw VINCINT enlisting the vocal talents of Betty Who. Earlier in the summer, VINCINT brought his live show to pride events across the country, with appearances in Los Angeles, Indianapolis, Jacksonville, and a UK appearance in London.
