Vinylkey - the next level in collectible vinyl - has announced the first-ever album release to take place as a physical LP linked with an NFT on the Ethereum blockchain, bridging the gap between the traditional and digital marketplaces as never before. Spearheaded by the creative collective at Asheville, North Carolina's Citizen Vinyl, vinylkey has partnered with Moses Sumney - the groundbreaking musician and multi-disciplinary storyteller - to bring this truly state-of-the-art technology to life for the first time. With each vinylkey release, music fans will receive an LP featuring a distinctive visual pattern, embedded with a uniquely ID'd NFC chip to be saved immutably on the Ethereum blockchain. Sumney will help launch vinylkey in conjunction with his upcoming new album Live From Blackalachia, of which he has hand-pressed one NFC-embedded LP at Citizen Vinyl to be released with an exclusive visual NFT entitled "Assembly #1."

The NFT auction for "Live From Blackalachia: Assembly" from vinylkey and Moses Sumney is announced in conjunction with Sumney's installation at the Pérez Art Museum Miami for Art Basel. The auction will launch on Foundation, and Live From Blackalachia will be released December 10 via Sumney's own Tuntum record label.
