Eric Hutchinson has confirmed the April 8 release of his new studio album, 'Pure Fiction.' On the follow-up to the "soulful" (People), critically acclaimed 'Moving Up Living Down,' Eric works for the first time with producers Jerrod Bettis (Adele, The Lonely Island) and Aben Eubanks (Kelly Clarkson), resulting in his catchiest, most hard-hitting album to date. The Wall Street Journal's 'Speakeasy' just premiered his first single, "Tell The World," and Eric explains: "This song is kind of a jab at how no moment is safe from being shared with the whole world anymore. But it's also about wanting to share the best things in life with everybody you know." Listen here: http://shorefi.re/1ndR0Tq

The eight originals and two bonus tracks on 'Pure Fiction' serve as a celebration of rhythm - South African, Bossa nova, four-on-the-floor rock and slap-back funk. Set against experiences from a wave of touring and an inspiring trip to Barcelona, Hutchinson's 'Pure Fiction' manifests a global view and a pop symphony for the everlasting moment. "Tell The World," the record's first single, is a striking prologue to the album's underlying theme - holding onto the best moments in life and shamelessly shouting them from a mountaintop.

"The more places you go the more you realize the same things matter to everybody," says Hutchinson, recalling his "inspiration wall", a shrine to creativity he hung above his workspace; photos, paintings, and postcards. "I found this old postcard from the 1950's and hung it on my wall. One day I was looking at it and wondering what the story was behind it. So I wrote one for it," Hutchinson explains about his new ballad, "Sun Goes Down."

Over the course of two full-length albums - 'Sounds Like This,' which debuted at #1 on Billboard's Heatseekers chart, and 2012's 'Moving Up Living Down,' which debuted in the Top 30 of the Billboard 200 - Hutchinson has sold over 1.5 million singles worldwide, scored three Top 10 radio hits, and has performed on Letterman, Leno, Kimmel, Conan, and more.

Eric's 2014 headlining tour will soon be announced.
