WATCH: Episode 6 of Naomi Raine's "Journey: The Docuseries"

Last month, Naomi Raine began releasing weekly episodes of  “Journey: The Docuseries,” a seven-part behind-the-scenes look at the GRAMMY, Billboard Music, Dove and Stellar Award-winning artist’s life, her process of self-discovery while creating her incredibly vulnerable solo album ‘Journey’ (7.8 via TRIBL Records) and the recording process behind the record. Today (11.16), she shares part six of the series on her YouTube channel.

Episode 6 highlights the creative process behind “Brand New,” the metamorphic closing track on ‘Journey.’ The song is a full circle moment for Naomi, who finally begins to see light and hope at the end of the tunnel after battling traumatic events throughout the album. In the docuseries episode, Naomi discusses valuing her drive and tenacity, continuing to discover who she is, keeping a positive perspective on negative events and her love of singing these songs live.

Naomi will release the final episode of the docuseries on Tues., Nov. 22 alongside the final performance video from her recent EP ‘Journey: Acoustic Sessions.’ 

Naomi is known for her leading role in the award-winning gospel collective Maverick City Music, who has earned five nominations for the 65th Annual GRAMMY Awards.
