Today, outlaw country troubadour Waylon Payne announces 'The Lost Act,' three new songs and the follow up chapter to his critically acclaimed ‘Blue Eyes, The Harlot, The Queer, The Pusher & Me’ album. The full album took listeners on a silver screen-worthy journey through Payne’s turbulent and triumphant life battling and overcoming family abandonment, abuse, drug addiction and more, and Payne continues the journey with 'The Lost Act.'

The first song from 'The Lost Act,' "7:28," will be released next Friday, September 24th and fans can pre-save the track HERE. In the meantime, pre-order 'The Lost Act,' HERE.

"I’m so very pleased to be able to offer you all a few new additions to 'Blue Eyes, The Harlot, The Queer, The Pusher & Me,” says Payne. "A couple are co-writes with some of my best friends -- Wade Bowen, Angaleena Presley, Dean Person, TJ Box and Roger Hodges -- but the pinnacle is one that I wrote that was my momma, the late and great Sammi Smith's idea. I hope you enjoy this special group of songs."

“7:28,” the first song from 'The Lost Act' finds Payne struggling to cope with sudden changes in life and the feeling of abandonment, while the second track "Do You Feel It Too” is a ballad detailing the heart-pounding moment of questioning if feelings are mutual. Payne closes this new musical chapter with his own rendition of “Sunday,” a song he penned for Lee Ann Womack’s GRAMMY-nominated album 'The Lonely, The Lonesome & The Gone.’

'The Lost Act' tracklist:

1. 7:28 (Waylon Payne, Wade Bowen, Angaleena Presley)

2. Do You Feel It Too (Waylon Payne, Dean Person, Terri Jo Box, Roger Hodges)

3. Sunday (Waylon Payne)

Payne’s ‘Blue Eyes, The Harlot, The Queer, The Pusher & Me’ was deemed one of the best albums of 2020 by NPRVICEVultureStereogumGarden & GunPaste and Rolling Stone to name a few. It was praised as “extraordinary” and “timeless” by NPR All Songs Considered, “a masterpiece of humanist storytelling” by VICE, “eye-opening” by Slate and more. “The Lost Act” promises to be a continuation of Payne’s brilliant, insightful and honest lyrical ability.

Payne is currently on tour with Elizabeth Cook and is slated for dates in Los Angeles, Austin and more. For tickets and more information, visit waylonpaynemusic.co.
