Women’s March Los Angeles is part of a national movement to unify and empower those who stand for women’s rights, human rights, civil liberties and social justice for all.

This year the Women’s March LA Foundation is committed to turning out the vote and hopes to use the power of the upcoming March, along with the work being done by partner organizations, to bring attention to the urgency of preparing for the November midterm elections. The March will encourage participants to use their vote in order to help build a government that reflects their ideals, and will provide the tools to do so by having voter registration available on-site. Speakers will address important issues such as voter turnout, access, restrictions and intimidation and will discuss a plan of action leading up to November 2018 and beyond.

Last year’s inaugural Women’s March was a huge success with an incredible 750,000 Los Angelenos coming together for the cause. Taking place on January 20 in Downtown Los Angeles, this year’s event will feature music, art, community and speakers all aligned with the National Women’s March Unity Principles of ending violence, protection of reproductive rights, LGBTQIA rights, workers’ rights, civil rights, disability rights, immigrant rights, Indigenous people’s rights and environmental justice. The event will kick off in Pershing Square at 8:30AM with some very special speakers, followed by the March at 10:00AM, which will bring everyone to Grand Park. Festivities are expected to continue until 3:00PM.

Those unable to attend can tune into the Women’s March LA Foundation’s Facebook page on Saturday, January 20th for a LIVE look as presenters, speakers and performers take the main stage and they will also have the ability to donate directly to the cause.
