Yasmine Sahid, Alex Maystrik And Pablo Hernandez (Aka Durafest2) Announce New Series, Never Have I Spent The Winter With The Romano Brothers

Today (10.27), writer and actor Yasmine Sahid and comedic duo Alex Maystrik and Pablo Hernandez (aka Durafest2) announce their new scripted series, Never Have I Spent The Winter With The Romano Brothers, releasing exclusively on Tubi. Created as part of the Tubi x TikTok Creatorverse Incubator, the series was directed and produced by DYNMC Creative. Sahid, Maystrik and Hernandez developed, wrote and will star in the new series. First announced in March, the Creatorverse Incubator gives TikTok creators a pathway from short-form content to long-form original series on Tubi, expanding their reach to new audiences.

The satirical comedy focuses on Gigi Hasiq (Yasmine Sahid), whose life shatters when her parents vanish in a cruise ship accident. Forced to move to Alaska to live with her mother's best friend, she crosses paths with the Romano brothers, Sam (Alex Maystrik) and Lorenzo (Pablo Hernandez), the town's "it" boys. Though initially unimpressed by their popularity, Gigi soon falls for their vulnerability and playfulness, catching herself in an unexpected love triangle.

The 5-episode show will also feature special guests Ashley Gill (from A Twink and A Red Head), Tyler Gaca (writer, actor, and novelist), Sean Shutz (comedian), Tommy Do (People We Meet On Vacation, The Four Seasons, Overcompensating), Jamie Ary (Heated Rivalry: The Musical Parody), Jim Woods (Jury Duty: Company Retreat), and Will Hines (Widow's Bay, Brooklyn Nine-Nine, The Sex Lives of College Girls). All episodes will be available to stream on Tubi on a to-be-announced release date.

Sahid and Durafest2 have a combined following of more than 3M across platforms, and the project marks their debut long-form scripted series.

The series is directed by DYNMC Creative’s Brad A. Kinnan (Hulu’s ‘Bite Size Halloween,’ Green Day’s “Dilemma” video) alongside his wife, Canadian musician and producer Holly Dodson, who serves as the lead producer on the series. Together, Kinnan and Dodson bring their longstanding creative partnership to the project. DYNMC will also oversee post-production, carrying the vision from production through the final cut.

Yasmine Sahid is represented by Dani Jacobson at Untitled Entertainment, Jayme Yarow at Palette Media, and Ashley Silver at BFBST. Alex Maystrik and Pablo Hernandez (Durafest2) are represented by Outshine Talent’s Barbara Jones and Shaina Suk.
