YEP ROC TO RELEASE 'QUALITY STREET' - A NEW NICK LOWE ALBUM, HOLIDAY-THEMED FOR YOUR CONVENIENCE - ON OCTOBER 29

Yep Roc is proud to present Nick Lowe’s sublime new album ‘Quality Street: A Seasonal Selection for All the Family,’ set for October 29 release. Named after a popular British Christmastime confectionery, ‘Quality Street’ features twelve new recordings, including three Nick Lowe originals (one co-written with Ry Cooder), a song by Ron Sexsmith written expressly for the album, covers of holiday favorites by Roger Miller and Wizzard, rarities and traditional chestnuts - all performed in Nick's singular style.

Yep Roc is celebrating Christmas in July by streaming the album in full for 24 hours only, starting July 25 at 9:00AM EST, here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ciYvatCfaAc

Produced by Lowe, Neil Brockbank and Robert Treherne, ‘Quality Street’ was recorded in London with Nick’s crack backing band - Geraint Watkins (keyboards), Johnny Scott (guitar), Matt Radford (bass) and Treherne (drums) – who adhered to a simple rule for the sessions: “We tried to make it a sleighbell-free zone,” says Lowe.

The result is a holiday album that so deftly slaloms through styles and moods - from the rockabilly-charged “Children Go Where I Send Thee” to the playful Lowe original “Christmas at the Airport”; from a New Orleans-influenced “Silent Night,” to Lowe’s inventive, Johnny Cash-style retelling of the nativity “I Was Born In Bethlehem” - it can be enjoyed year round.

‘Quality Street’ is further evidence of Nick Lowe’s "remarkable second wind" (NY Times). It follows 2011's ‘The Old Magic’ (Yep Roc), the best-reviewed and fastest-selling album of his career. USA Today called that album "gently devastating" and SPIN said "Lowe's sexagenarian years have real sparkle."

Nick will tour the U.S. this summer, including an August 10 performance at Lincoln Center. He plans on returning to the U.S. during the holiday season for an additional run of shows. Go here for dates: http://nicklowe.com/tour-dates/
