Zeus Premieres New Video Via Vice Noisey, Confirms Fall Tour Supporting 'Classic Zeus' (9/2, Arts & Crafts)

Zeus will tour North America this fall in support of its new album 'Classic Zeus' (out 9/2 via Arts & Crafts), kicking off the dates with a Portland, OR show alongside The Baseball Project before a string of headlining dates. Known for its carousel-like rotation of instruments on stage, Zeus tapped into that same collaborative spirit to record its most unified album to date, sharing songwriting and instrumental roles in the studio. The band previewed the new music at a hometown show in Toronto during NXNE, with Exclaim! praising the "thundering riffs, powerhouse drums, and instantly likeable basslines."

Zeus honed its live show from years of touring with Broken Social Scene, Belle & Sebastian, Metric, and others. NPR hailed its "muscular, Big Star-sized riffs"; Ann Powers added Zeus is "as much fun as 21st century classic rock can get"; and SPIN raved, "Zeus ain't nothing to eff with." The foursome of Neil Quin, Mike O'Brien, Carlin Nicholson and Rob Drake will be joined on tour by fifth member Jason Haberman on keys and guitar, adding another element to their already layered sound and proving - as the AV Club asserted - Zeus is "eminently capable of delights and surprises."
