For ten years, On Air Fest has brought together the vanguard of storytellers and creators for conversations, live podcasts, performances, and immersive experiences. New formats were tested, artists shared their work, and the industry spotted its next big shifts before they happened. We helped podcasting become a cultural force, audio go multi-channel, and creators grow into media companies.
On Air began in 2017 as a pirate radio pop-up at Wythe Hotel. That spirit never left us. Our identity, the glowing On Air studio box, still signals the mic is hot, and you’re there for it.
A hundred moments can’t do justice to the more than 2,000 brilliant, influential people who have shaped On Air Fest, but they can capture our story. Across ten chapters, here are the premieres, performances, experiments, and turning points that defined our first decade.
